TiE Ottawa is a nonprofit association dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in the Ottawa-Gatineau area as well as globally. TiE strives to inspire entrepreneurs through mentoring, networking, education, incubating, and funding programs and activities. With nearly 20 events held each year, TiE Ottawa brings together the entrepreneurial community to learn from local leaders as well as each other. Events include the popular TiE Institute, in which an established entrepreneur leads a professional workshop, and regular monthly events covering topics such as Big Data, Internet of Things, healthcare, leadership, and more. TiE Ottawa’s biggest event each year is TiEcon Canada, which is held in the fall of every year in locally in Ottawa and pulls attendees from across Canada as well as globally. TiEcon attracts business professionals and startup employees alike with its keynote speakers, educational tracks, and networking opportunities. Entrepreneurs can enroll in TiE’s programs in order to receive mentorship from our successful charter members, compete for angel funding, talk one-on-one with venture capitalists, and more.
