The European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most important change in data privacy regulation in the last 20 years. The new regulation shall be effective from 25 May 2018. GDPR is framed with strict provisions for the processing and managing the personal data of European subjects. If you do business with a European client base, regardless of where you are located, you must comply, or face the consequences. The regulation will have a significant impact on outsourcing outside of the European Union and presents a significant opportunity for business owners outside of the region looking to make in-roads into the European market. GDPR is an opportunity, one that cannot go overlooked.

Matt Skinner of Proctor + Stevenson will speak at the workshop on GDPR and outsourcing, organized by TiE Rajasthan in association with Axelerant Technologies.

Through this comprehensive workshop participants will gain an understanding of:

  • GDPR as a concept and the responsibilities of Indian companies providing third-party services to European customers
  • Core principles and organizational changes needed for delivering GDPR compliant services
  • How to prepare your organizations for readiness and ongoing compliance
  • What's in and out the scope of outsourcing services for third parties
  • The GDPR long-term impact on outsourcing to India
