Out Swimming the Sharks - Tips from Women Leaders of the Triangle

TiE Carolina is happy to host an engaging panel on leadership lessons and tips from some of the top women leaders in the area.

Dinner and Drinks will be provided. The event will also feature the 2017 TyE Teams and their accomplishments.

Ravila Gupta (CEO, CED)

Ravila Gupta

Ravila Gupta has over 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles, most recently as President of Umicore, USA. Ravila brings a passion for entrepreneurship to CED as she helps forge stronger connections, engage new partners, and set the strategic direction of the organization. Prior to CED, Ravila was with Umicore, USA for nine years, first as its Legal Counsel and then as its President, beginning in 2011. Ravila also worked as a process/environmental engineer at government agencies and companies that included Tyco Electronics and the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality. She began her career as an attorney at Ogletree Deakins, in Raleigh. A 26 year resident of North Carolina, Ravila is a member of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, serving on its Board of Directors from 2013 to 2016, and for a year on its Executive Committee. She is also a board member of the Nature Conservancy (NC Chapter), the National Association of CEOs, and the Duke University School of Nursing. Ravila has worked closely with entrepreneurial founders in the healthcare sector, providing guidance, mentorship, and business advice. Ravila graduated from McGill University with a Bachelors and Masters in Chemical Engineering and earned her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University.

Krista Moore (CEO, KCoaching)

Krista Moore is highly recognized as an inspirational speaker and results-oriented Executive Coach. In 2003 she followed her entrepreneurial spirit and founded K.Coaching, Inc., after 20 years of Sales Leadership positions within the Office Products Industry. Krista combines her real life business experiences, certified business coaching, and motivational style to help others achieve outstanding success in their lives and in their careers. 

Today, she and her team of certified business coaches are dedicated to helping clients get on the fast-track to sales success. They do this through coaching, consulting, and training programs, focused on building and executing sales strategies, proven sales processes, up-leveling sales skills, and implementing successful sales management systems. 

In 2016 Krista launched the IDGrowth Sales Vault™, an online business building learning management system, utilized by thousands of sales professionals, to enhance their sales strategies, training, and leadership development.

Adrienne Cole (CEO, Raleigh Chamber of Commerce)

Adrienne Cole

As the president and CEO of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Adrienne Cole heads the Triangle’s largest nonprofit business membership organization representing two-thirds of the private sector employment in Wake County.

Previously, Cole served as the Chamber’s senior vice president of Economic Development and executive director of Wake County Economic Development where she led her team to recruit new business, support existing industries, market Wake County and the Triangle region, and help companies attract the talent needed to grow and thrive. Under Cole’s guidance, Wake County Economic Development and the Greater Raleigh Chamber announced more than 30 corporate relocations and expansions totaling over $250 million in capital investments and creating more than 5,000 new 

Cole’s additional career accomplishments:

  • Worked to secure and improve state and local economic development incentives
  • As an RDU Board member, assisted in the recruitment of the Delta Paris flight
  • Recruited Campbell Law School to RaleighFacilitated Red Hat’s headquarters expansion to downtown Raleigh

Cole is a graduate of Meredith College and received a master’s degree in public administration from Appalachian State University.
