He was the first president of the North American South Asian Bar Association (2003), a co-founder of The Indus Entrepreneurs Southern California (1997), Founder President of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California (1995), the Indian Professionals Toastmasters Club (1986), the International Indian Bar Association and Chairman of the Board of Premier Media, Inc., a publishing company based in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Chugh is also on the board of Asia Society of Southern California, Habib American Bank, Ignify – an IT Consulting Firm, Pratham Southern California, and American India Foundation (AIF).

By utilizing vast experience and background, she has successfully helped clients with a plethora of complex immigration issues.

Ms. Mathews received her LL.M. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2007, where she was a Michigan Grotius Scholar. Prior to moving to the United States, Ms. Mathews was an associate at a leading corporate law firm in India. She obtained her B.A., B.L. (Hons.) degree from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University of Law, India (NALSAR) in 2004.
Ms. Mathews is admitted to practice in New York and is also a qualified Indian lawyer. She is fluent in Hindi and Malayalam.
Gladys V. Gervacio

Gladys V. Gervacio is an attorney in the Immigration Practice Group and manages the largest immigration team at our Los Angeles office. Ms. Gervacio joined the firm in 2011 and represents a wide range of clients in US immigration matters, from individuals and SMEs to multinational corporations. She has developed a particular expertise in business and employment-based immigration. She also handles immigration compliance work and family-based petitions.

Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Ms. Gervacio served as an associate attorney in a Philippine-based law firm for four years, where she handled labor and employment, corporate and litigation matters.

Angelita Chavez-Halaka is an immigration attorney and Immigration Lead in the Cerritos, California office. She is experienced in family-based petitions, asylum, deportation defense, VAWA and DACA. Prior to joining the firm, Angelita represented pro-bono clients through the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) in Seattle, Washington. She has represented clients in immigration court and also helped clients obtain legal permanent residence and naturalization.

In addition to practicing law, she earned her Master’s Degree in Political Science with a research focus on immigration law and policy. She has taught courses on Legal Processes and has lectured on special topics in immigration law and policy.
Angelita can counsel clients on unlawful presence waivers, VAWA, family-based immigration, and naturalization. She is also experienced in employment-based visas such as the H-1B, L1, the PERM process, TN Visas, and complex immigration matters including eligibility for other forms of immigration relief.

Jagan Mohan Tamirisa graduated with a Master of Law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law, Missouri, in U.S., and B.A. LLB (5 year program) from Osmania University, in India. During his law school days in U.S., he worked in the Catholic Immigration Law Project clinic where he worked with senior attorneys and assisted in immigration NIV, IV, and Naturalization filings and defending against deportations. Prior to joining Chugh, LLP, he had worked with two private law firms (small and medium sized) in Virginia for several years where he handled wide variety of complex immigration matters. He wrote several articles which were published on various books and websites.
