Paul Lopez

Paul is a partner in 11-11 Ventures LLC. He runs the GAIN (Greater Atlanta Investor Network) program and is a member of the investment committee of the venture fund. In addition, Dr. Lopez is the President-Elect of TiE Atlanta. TiE is the largest non-profit global organization focused on entrepreneurs with over 13,000 members at every stage of business in 61 chapters across 21 countries, of which Atlanta is ranked as a “Top 5” chapter in the worldwide network.

As an entrepreneur, he was a Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Element Funding, a residential mortgage lender with branches across Georgia, Florida and North Carolina that has served over 23,000 families with over $5 billion in mortgage financing from 2007 till his exit in spring 2017.
In his prior corporate career, Paul worked for eight years as Executive Vice President of Business Development & Sales at HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation, a regional mortgage bank. Prior to working in the financial services industry, he was employed in high tech for 20 years at IBM, Xerox and Moore/R.R. Donnelly in field and headquarters positions, and has been a faculty member at the business schools of Kennesaw State University and California State University, teaching in their Executive MBA and BBA programs respectively. He has also lectured in Europe and Asia in the area of leadership.
He holds a doctorate in business administration from Louisiana Tech University, an MBA from the Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calcutta, India.
Paul is highly involved in the community, currently serving on the board of Action Ministries, which administers to the poor across north Georgia through housing, food, clothing and education programs. In addition, Dr. Lopez co-chairs the TiE-Atlanta chapter’s Entrepreneurship Competition for universities throughout Georgia. He is also the co-founder of TiE Atlanta Angels which invests in early stage companies.
Paul and his wife, Margie, reside in the East Cobb suburb of Atlanta, GA, and is blessed to be living the American Dream as a first-generation immigrant, having arrived in the US in 1974 to attend graduate business school. He has two grown children and five grandkids, all living in metro Atlanta. His hobbies are attending live theatre and international travel.

Shashi Jain is an Innovation Manager in the Client Computing Group at Intel, focused on pathfinding and corporate innovation in IoT, Machine Learning and Virtual Reality. He has over 20 years of experience in business development, entrepreneurship, engineering integration, rapid prototyping, and community building. In his spare time, he teaches innovation and entrepreneurship to high school students through the TYE Oregon and runs the largest 3D Printing Meetup on the west coast.

Charu Sharma

Charu Sharma is the Founder & CEO of NextPlay.ai. While working at LinkedIn, Charu started a mentorship program for women at the company as a passion project. This eventually inspired her to start NextPlay and to create meaningful mentorship relationships, especially for women and underrepresented minorities. NextPlay’s investors and advisors include 500 Startups, LinkedIn’s SVP Engineering, Techcrunch’s former CEO, and Microsoft’s former Chief Design Officer.

After six months of using NextPlay’s app, mentees felt that their preparedness to achieve their goals at their companies had doubled, and mentors reported that they significantly developed their critical leadership and coaching skills. Collectively, the number of employees who strongly recommended working for their companies increased by 25%.
Charu previously built two startups. She has educated one million women on how to start their own businesses through her nonprofit, books, and documentary film “Go Against the Flow.”
Fatima Dicko
Founder & CEO, Jetpack
Fatima Dicko is the Founder & CEO of Jetpack, a company that makes essential consumer products available in real time. Before Stanford, she previously worked as the youngest Senior Engineer on a 5-person technology innovation team at Procter & Gamble developing new-to-the world products 3-10 years away from market.

Fatima came to the United States from Mali at a young age and grew up in New York City, receiving her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.
Priya Rajan
Managing Director, Silicon Valley Bank
Priya is the Managing Director at Silicon Valley Bank. As the Market Lead for India, MENA and SEA, she provides international market entry advice and introductions with a focus on technology and innovation cross-border companies, entrepreneurs and venture capital funds in emerging markets.

Prior to this role she was Director of Early Stage practice. Priya calls on her experience, expertise and connections to champion a more inclusive innovation economy. She works closely with community and diversity ecosystem partners, including Change Catalyst, Kapor Capital, Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization, Women Who Code, and more. Other university partners Priya has partnered with include Dorm Room Fund, The House Fund, Stanford Venture Studio and Rough Draft Ventures.
Previously, Priya spent several years as the group controller for SVB Financial Group, where she managed financial and accounting functions for all global entities. As the global group financial officer, she served as a core member of the company’s Finance team. Earlier in her career, she held financial management positions at Charles Schwab and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. In addition to a bachelor’s degree from the University of Madras and a master’s degree in international business from Queen’s University, Priya holds an MBA in business administration from Cornell University and a California CPA in accounting and business administration.
Through her work at SVB, Priya supports entrepreneurs who strive to make the world a better place, and she echoes that commitment in her free time as well. She’s on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters and of Women Who Code, an organization dedicated to helping women to excel in technology careers. In addition, Priya is a charter member of TiE, a nonprofit focused on nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs, as well as a venture partner at Xfund, which connects venture capital firms with superior research universities and advisor at Entrepreneurship at Cornell University.
Taking bold steps with confidence is Priya’s forte, both on the job and off — in her free time, she loves to skydive. She also enjoys world travel (ask her about Kenya, her favorite spot so far). Aside from hopping on and off planes, Priya also enjoys classical music; she studied the genre for more than a decade — and has passed down her passion to her children.

Patrick received a joint JD-MBA degree from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School, where he served as an Editor of the Harvard Law Review. Patrick was a Commonwealth Scholar at Oxford University, where he earned a Master of Science degree. Patrick earned his A.B. degree at Harvard College in Environmental Science. He is a member of the New York and Massachusetts bars, was an elected director of the Harvard Alumni Association, and a member of the Committee to Visit Harvard College. He is also an Associate of the Creative Destruction Lab at the University of Toronto.
