About The Young Entrepreneurs Program:
TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) is a global program dedicated to fostering future generations of industry leaders by teaching high school students the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur. TYE is an "Entrepreneurship Academy," where student teams utilize modern skills and tools to build a concept using customer feedback, iteration, and lightweight business models.
Each TiE DC Young Entrepreneur will have the opportunity to:
Build a real startup with a team
Participate in a rigorous business curriculum proven over 10+ years
Develop confidence and leadership skills
Learn directly from startup founders and industry experts
Collaborate with other students passionate about STEM
Connect with a dedicated mentor who will coach their team
Participate in professional development workshops around networking, professional correspondence, interviewing skills, LinkedIn, etc.
Compete for $5k in seed funding and the opportunity to represent DC at the TYE Global Competition
Who should apply? Any 9th -12th grade student interested in entrepreneurship, STEM or business may apply to participate!
Program Details: TYE is a boot camp running on ten Saturdays between January 11 and March 21, 2020, culminating in a business plan competition on Sunday April 25, 2020. The winning team goes on to compete in the TYE Global Business Competition in TBD, dates in June TBD. TYE features lectures by industry experts and entrepreneurs followed by interactive discussion.
TYE empowers high school students to become entrepreneurs by providing you with quality educational programs to develop strong business acumen, communication skills, time management, and confidence to lead in a global environment.
Attendance is mandatory for all classes and competition.

Session 1 & 2 - January 11 (Sat) 9 am to 5 pm
Session 3 - January 12 (Sun) 9 am to 1 pm
Session 4 - January 18 (Sat) 9 am to 1 pm
Session 5 - January 25 (Sat) 9 am to 1 pm
Session 6 - February 8 (Sat) 9 am to 1 pm
Session 7 - February 22 (Sat) 9 am to 1 pm
Session 8 – March 07 (Sat) 9 am to 1 pm
Session 9 – March 21 (Sat) 9 am to 1 pm
April 4 and 6 (This will be the practice round for the business plan competition)

TYE Program participation fees: $500*
Fees will be due upon admission of the student into the TYE program. Fees are non-refundable (in partial or in full) under any circumstances.
