Earlier in her career, Amelia co-founded HealthAllies, a venture capital-backed innovative healthcare firm which was later acquired by United Health Group. Previously, Ms. Tyagi was a consultant with consulting firm McKinsey & Company.
Amelia W. Tyagi is a well-regarded speaker and writer, and has written for Harvard Business Review, Time, and USA Today. She has appeared as expert commentator on policy / finance on numerous TV and radio programs, and she was a regular commentator for the nationally syndicated radio show Marketplace. She is the co-author of two best-selling books on public policy and economics: The Two-Income Trap and All Your Worth.
Ms. Tyagi serves as a board member for the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) local chapter. She has also served as the Chair of the Board for two major non-profits. She holds a BA from Brown University, and an MBA from the Wharton School. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their three children.

Smita is a serial entrepreneur and a passionate mentor. Her current company Aligned Strategies provides product strategy leadership to startups as well to innovation departments of Fortune 500 companies. She takes on interim C level roles at startups. Her previous entrepreneurial exits included a world-wide Enterprise Software company in the medical field which was sold in 2001, and Gamification for Innovation product company in 2015. Earlier in her career, she was instrumental in creating AI based technology solutions for Cancer Research and manufacturing of plasma based drugs. She is an IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and UCLA alum. .
As President of TiE Southern California Chapter, she received the Southern California Community Leadership award for "her visionary guidance and dynamic leadership of TiE". She was also awarded the Best South Asian Woman Entrepreneur Los Angeles.
