Necessity is the mother of invention and the pandemic has made us push the reset button on how we think about innovation and creativity. Our world view of science and technology has changed as have our views of how business models and ideas about home and workplace. Whether in the kitchen, in the laboratory, or the home office, we have learned to innovate virtually, making giant leaps in our ability to leverage technology to solve global challenges. As we come out of the pandemic it is important to ensure we retain our ability to innovate and use creativity and problem solving to drive impact, especially for those who most need it.

Seema is responsible for Johnson & Johnson's overall innovation reputation, positioning the Johnson & Johnson R&D pipeline, and leading the company's COVID vaccine communications and external affairs efforts. Seema serves as a science, innovation, and public health ambassador for Johnson & Johnson to organizations including the World Economic Forum, the Gates CEO Roundtable, the New York Academy of Sciences, and other partners, where she represents the company's scientific engagement efforts and its commitment to diversity and inclusion in science and technology.
