Southern California is a hotbed of the medical technology industry. Startups in this sector are leveraging microfluidics, robotics, sensors, software, smart phones and much more to improve the health and extend the lives of rich and poor worldwide. Tie Socal partners with local alumni of the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).

Learn from their decades of startup experience about how to start, build, fund, grow and sell medical device startups.  The panel producer is Sanjay Shrivastava, IIT Roorkee 1989, who held leadership positions in R&D, marketing and business development at large medical device companies including Medtronic, Abbott, and Edwards Lifesciences and has now co-founded a new startup BlackSwan Vascular.  Moderating is Gunjan Bagla (IIT Kanpur 1978)  of Amritt, Inc whose medical device clients include Roche Diagnostics, Johnson & Johnson, Becton Dickinson,  Hollister, and a number of startups.
