Mike is a UK Chartered Accountant, US Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and an expert facilitator specializing in IFRS, US-GAAP and IPSAS.

He is an entrepreneur that in his University days sold books door to door during his summer break to pay for his University. 

After relocating to Romania in 1995 with Deloitte, he co-founded BPP Romania as a franchise from a UK listed training company with Vandana Saxena Poria.  BPP Romania was a specialized training company in accounting exams for ACCA and CIMA and tailored financial training.  BPP Romania was founded while he was in his late 20’s. Being able to self-reflect on that era of his life, it was a great learning experience that gave him a sound footing for his next venture and his training consulting work. The excitement of owning a business coupled with cash flow challenges, learning new subjects to teach to exam taking young accounting professionals, and managing the day to day operations was a balancing act that one can not prepare where on the job learning is taken to a new level develops your inner drive.

Then in 2005, Mike established Turnaround International in Pune India with Arvind Kothapalli, an ACCA student of his he meet in 1994.   Turnaround International is a BPO specializing in medical collections for California doctors relating to work injuries.  The office is based in Pune (Kharadi) and has grown to a team of around 40.  

According to Mike, the most challenging part for the entrepreneur is navigating through the difficult times and having the strength and courage not to give up. One of his favorite quotes is "Employ the power of positive quitting." Most of us view quitting as something negative, but it's not. 'Winners never quit,' we're told, when, in reality, winners quit all the time: choosing to stop doing things that aren't creating the results they desire. When you quit all the things that aren't working for you, when you quit tolerating all the negative things that hold you back, you'll create a positive 'charge' in your life as well as create the space in your life for more positive experiences."
