TiE Ahmedabad recently hosted its 5th edition of TiE Talks at Bucky Gallery, featuring two impressive entrepreneurs from the 2nd generation – Mr. Kairav Engineer – Executive Director of Astral Ltd and Mr. Ravi Varmora – Founder & CEO of UniviaAgritech.

The event offered a unique platform to both the entrepreneurs where Kairav shared his experience of joining the family business and also emphasized the invaluable lessons he learned from his predecessors. He has seen the fall and rise of their business which has shaped him into a competent entrepreneur. Kairav’s journey showcased the significance of continuity, dedication, and the ability to evolve with the ever-changing business landscape, he calls himself "Generation 1.5".

Whilst, Mr. Ravi expressed his journey of diverging from his family business to establish his own venture. In stark contrast, Ravi shared his bold decision to furnace his own path, deviating from his family business. His story resonated with many aspiring entrepreneurs, who often find themselves at a crossroads in terms of following the conventional route or taking a leap of faith or just by personal conviction and determination.

The discussion was moderated by Mr. Shyam Parekh- Director & Co-founder of Gujarat Literature Festival, who skillfully ensured that the session remained engaging and enlightening by posing thought-provoking questions. Shyam's impeccable moderation skills effortlessly steered the conversation towards various intriguing aspects of entrepreneurship and also towards their personal interests.
