Learn the secrets of how to work with the Chinese in this invaluable session.
Speakers:
Laxman Hemnani
Hetal Hemnani
Beijing Ganges International Catering Co Ltd
Profile:
Laxman and wife Hetal are successful entrepreneurs who are co-founders of a chain of Indian restaurants, Beijing Ganges. Laxman’s journey in China started with Aptech’s JV with Beijing University, where he travelled the length and breadth of China, working with the universities and Business Partners to penetrate the market. The training centers increased from 50 to 200 centers and Laxman was instrumental in creating over 200 tie ups with education institutions across China, becoming the market leader in IT Education.
Whilst Hetal dabbled with English language training and opening a spice store when she moved to China, it was she who started the first restaurant in the heart of the University area in 2005.
Both of them learnt that the key factors of success were understanding the culture of Chinese society, adapting to their working style like mei you yali, mei you jie guo – which means Great Results can’t be had unless there is Pressure! Equally, bonding with top management and front line teams was important.
Beijing Ganges is consistently been awarded as the Best Indian Restaurant by various magazines and highly rated on Trip Advisor. With single minded focus on quality and service the restaurant given the BEST EDITORS AWARD FOR 2007 by Beijinger Magazine.
