Deepa Tracy - Founder & MD - Mantra Exports & Mantra Fashions

Deepa Tracy is founder and MD of Mantra Exports and Mantra Fashions; leading apparel export companies. She is also the MD of Mantra Vision Pvt. Ltd., a media business involved with production of TV serials and Marathi movies, beside a finance company Savani Financials Ltd. Deepa had an 18-year career full of intrapreneurial stints at a few companies including Indian Hotels (Taj) Group and then found herself at crossroads. She decided to take the path not travelled and started her own garment export business when few women in her situation would do so. The rest as they say is history.

Deepa also set up Mantra Foundation to help rural artisans sustain their livelihoods. The foundation is heavily involved in showcasing Indian literature, music and dance forms at the national as well as international level. Deepa has achieved success well beyond her wildest dreams but still likes to keep a low profile and contribute to society. Her foundation has just delivered 250K meals to the poor and needy in Mumbai during the Covid lockdown.
