As we are celebrating female entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, educators and business leaders in June, we found a seasoned female founder/investor, Amita Shukla who will be coming from DC to lead an interactive, thought provoking workshop on "mastering the entrepreneurial mindset" for our community Tuesday, June 19 at 6-8 pm at Nixon Peabody LLC's office (46th and 6th).
Amita is the founder of Vitamita and is also an experienced investor. As an investor she found that more startups fail based on execution, personality and leadership challenges than technical or strategy.
Following Amita, Manesha Lakhiani of Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc and & Zai Khan from Bank of America will discuss "strategies to avoid cash burn" including balancing life priorities, goals and cash management strategies.
This event is free to TiE New York Members and refreshments are complimentary. Please register with the email address that you joined TiE New York with. If you aren't already a member then you can become a member by joining TiE on our website. (Non-members can buy a ticket for $25, but why not put that toward an entire year of events?)
"Mastering the entrepreneurial mindset"
One of the most important factors in the success of a startup—or transforming any idea into impact—is the mindset of its founders, leaders, and team. It drives how they pivot through failure, learn from disruption, innovate through challenges, and boldly create a new future.
Amita Shukla, founder and CEO of Vitamita and author of "Enduring Edge: Transforming How We Think, Create and Change", on training and mastering the mind for success will lead an interactive and thought-provoking workshop for TiE New York.
Whether you are a member of a startup, a change agent in a large organization, or a leader passionate about unlocking your mind’s potential, join us as Shukla shares insights on how great innovators and entrepreneurs think differently, and simple tools anyone can apply to be more agile, creative, and resilient in the face of the roller-coaster journey of transforming promising ideas into reality.
