We invite you to TiE New York's monthly Startup Open Mic Night event for an exciting night of networking and pitching!  This event is not your typical meet and greet.  

To pitch you don’t have to be a TiE member, you just need to be a startup and/or investor with the passion to give your elevator pitch for 90 seconds in front of a group of angel investors, venture capitalists, startup-focused service based providers, mentors, and a large community of other successful entrepreneurs.

Each attendee must register in order to be included on the building's security list.  

If you plan to speak, please register as a "Presenter".   If your company is speaking but you are not the key speaker, register as a non-member or member (whichever applies).  

Speakers should arrive by 6:30 pm and check in with our speaker coordinator.  Should we need to limit the number of speakers due to high demand our members will be given priority to speak. But don't fear, its easy to join TiE!  Become a member by signing up on our website at ny.tie.org.

Ben Reiter - Principal, Starta Ventures

Starta Ventures is an accelerator and an early stage investor in early stage companies. Starta is building a strong portfolio of international clients who have built companies, and products for the US markets. 

Benjamin Reiter is Principal at Starta Ventures, a New York City-based accelerator program and venture capital fund which invests in early-stage European tech startups. He is an experienced corporate professional with a multi-disciplinary background in business and nutrition. Benjamin spent the first part of his career as an accounting analyst at a large media company, earning responsibility for the analysis of over $100 million in annual receivables. Prior to joining Starta Ventures, he pursued his passion for food and nutrition by engaging in advanced studies in that field. He conducted graduate laboratory research examining the effects of diet composition on various biomarkers of health status. Benjamin has an MBA in Management with a concentration in Human Resources, and an MS in Nutritional Sciences. His core competencies include early-stage venture investing, strategic planning, data analysis, as well as conducting business and scientific presentations.

Applications are open for Starta Ventures' Global Residency Track, an acceleration program in NYC which guides international founders in achieving product-market fit in the USA and establishing operations here (3 months in-person + 3 months online). We help startups navigate the complex transition to US business practices and culture. Cohort #9 is scheduled to begin in March.
