We invite you to TiE New York's monthly Startup Open Mic Night event for an exciting night of networking and pitching!   This event is not your typical meet and greet.

This month we focus on financing as we enjoy Rise NY’s home. Our first featured speaker for November is Pulak Sinha, Founder & CEO of On Pepper, a digital infrastructure platform for alternative asset managers that was masterminded in response to disruption in the financial services industry.  Pulak will speak to us about "Fintech and the brave new world".

Next up, Pankaj Jain, an active angel, Founder of BlockHack and on the investment of Wadi Accelerator will discuss what he is seeing in fintech trends including blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

To pitch you don’t have to be a TiE member, you just need to be a startup and/or investor with the passion to give your elevator pitch for 90 seconds in front of a group of angel investors, venture capitalists, startup-focused service based providers, mentors, and a large community of other successful entrepreneurs.

Each attendee must register in order to be included on the building's security list.

If you plan to speak, please register as a "Presenter".   If your company is speaking but you are not the key speaker, register as a non-member or member (whichever applies).

Speakers should arrive by 6:30 pm and check in with our speaker coordinator.  Should we need to limit the number of speakers due to high demand our members will be given priority to speak. But don't fear, its easy to join TiE!  Become a member by signing up on our website at ny.tie.org.

Prior to moving to the US, Pulak worked at a startup (Globsyn Technologies) in India, where he helped grow their six man team into over 300 strong providing software and training services. In 1999 he moved to the New York to successfully start their US operations.

He has an MBA from Columbia Business School and an undergraduate in engineering from IIT in India.

More On Pepper

We built the Pepper digital infrastructure for alternative asset managers in response to two major disruptive forces in the finance industry.  The first addresses fundamental changes occurring within the asset management industry - fund structures becoming more complex, investors getting more demanding, and the regulatory environment becoming more onerous.

The second disruptive force is digital technology. The potential efficiency and convenience from digital technology is fundamentally changing existing functions within the asset management industry, while providing new previously unavailable capabilities.
