Marketing during the time of crisis - what should brands do
There are few instances in a brand's lifetime when it encounters a real litmus test - a test to see what a brand really stands for. As the Covid-19 coronavirus spreads rapidly across the world with a complete disregard for national borders, class or gender, communities everywhere are seeing a complete overhaul of 'life as we know it'. In this time, marketing, which has always focused on staying relevant by leveraging trending topics, sees itself in a conflict. Marketing and creating content around the coronavirus might make the brand sound out of touch, but talking about the virus for the sake of it can come across as insensitive. Then there is a question of whether to market your brand at all during a time of crisis. In this session we shall talk about how brands and companies can tackle this dilemma.
Key Takeaways:
1. Understand what should brands should do during times of crisis
2. Learn best case practices of what are brands across the world doing - of varied sizes and from varied industries
3. Give specific solutions from an Indian context
