Entrepreneurs have more avenues to access capital and resources to help them grow their business than they've had before. Investors have greater access to invest in private market than they've had before including offerings which allow both non-accredited and accredited investors to participate.
National Entrepreneur Week is Feb 17th -21st. To honor it TiE Carolinas & CrowdfundNC are co-hosting an interactive panel to share how both accredited and non-accredited individuals can invest in local startups. Whether your favorite coffee shop or the next potential high growth company, everyone has access to invest and entrepreneurs have more options than ever to raise investment capital from both experienced and new investors.
Goal: Educate the audience on the funding aspects of entrepreneurship from different perspectives.

David Jones - Panelist
David is the co-founder of BCVP and a partner with Southern Capitol Ventures. He is also the co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer of the medical device portal, Orthocopia.com. David sits on the board of numerous companies. More information can be found here.

Rebecca Corbin - Panelist
Rebecca Corbin is President & CEO of the Entrepreneurship (NACCE), a leading non-profit membership organization dedicated to increasing entrepreneurship offerings and thinking at over 300 community colleges across the country. She has forged several new partnerships with national Foundations to advance STEM education, ecosystem mapping, and intellectual property curriculum knowledge in community colleges across the United States. Brinda Ramaiya - Panelist
Brinda is the Launch Director of CrowdfundNC. She manages the Launch Readiness Program which supports founder preparation to raise investment capital, CrowdfundNC’s partnership network and product market strategy. She is passionate about creating community and accessibility to investing. Brinda is a systems integrator with over fifteen years of experience in a variety of industries including high tech, financial services and nonprofit/benefit corporations with a focus of bringing new products and services to the marketplace. Her leadership roles include developing new products as a product manager, managing cross functional global teams as a program manager, creating engaging customer experiences is a marketing manager and developing strategic partnerships and growing the sales pipeline as a sales relationship manager. As someone who loves to learn, Brinda holds a Master's in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business here.
Addy Kapur - Moderator
Addy calls himself a whiskey Connoisseur. I don't think you can call yourself a connoisseur while drinking out of a bottle. Addy is also our Apple fanboy - Macbook, iPad, iPhone - print anything with an Apple logo and Addy will buy it. When he is not working, he helps his son beat the pigs in Angry Birds.
