This workshop will give a reality check of VAT in UAE and cover the following;

• Recounting the challenges with VAT implementation by businesses in UAE over the past 20+ months
• Challenges with various accounting softwares on correct application of various provisions of VAT law of UAE
• Common mistakes by businesses in UAE on applying various VAT provisions correctly
• Analysis of VAT impact on business transactions by and/or with designated zone companies
• Actions by FTA over the last 20 months to help businesses in proper applications of the VAT Law.

The workshop will start with a presentation followed by an open floor discussion where attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their experiences or address questions.
