 Anil is an EX-DIGITAL MD & CEO (currently VICE PRESIDENT, creating IP Assets and Business Cases at RELIANCE JIO). Studied Business (HBS,2019), Artificial Intelligence (Masters,2001), and E&E Engineering(Bachelors,1998).

Prior to JIO, Anil (an Alumnus of HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL, ai.uga.edu and NITK) along with two IIT Alumni launched a software services company from IIT Bombay business incubator SINE. The company served customers such as Airtel, AIC, Bayer, Cheminova, Dupont, FAO, ICICI Lombard, Indofil, IFFCO-TOKIO, ITC, Microsoft, Nokia, Tata Consultancy Services, UPL, & the World Bank. EXPERIENCE in SOFTWARE IP asset creation, technology innovation, transfer, product development, and management include: United States of America:

• Georgia Tech (ATDC 1999-2002) - Developed proprietary AI software on patented technologies.
• MIT Media Lab (Media Lab Asia 2002-03) - Led a 3D- printing technology lab for MIT-Boston in India.
• IIT Bombay (2003-05) - Led developments of proprietary Web and Mobile Application Software based on patented technologies. EXPERIENCE IN STRATEGY, General Management include:
• Led IIT Bombay’s Developmental Informatics Lab and collaborations as Project Manager across a team of 30–50 people over 3 years. Responsible for overall Strategy & Implementation.
• Led SINE-IIT Bombay incubated company as CEO and MD over 7 years till its IP-sale to TCS. (2006-2013). Responsible for overall Strategy & Implementation.
• Currently at Jio, leading Special Projects - Product Ecosystem. Past 6 years worked on IP (filed 2 Prov. patents), business plans for emerging technologies and adjacent offerings, Business Development of Products.

 Former entrepreneur and seasoned executive with expertise in building and scaling business across multiple industries including Management Consulting, Education, Technology, and Financial Services, Sandeep currently heads Fintech for Amazon's cloud business,  Amazon Web Services, in India. Since the launch of the AWS region in India in 2016, he has helped dozens of fintech make the journey from their on-premise data centers to AWS cloud. Sandeep has been closely associated with the startup ecosystem for over a decade. Prior to Amazon, he has set up India's first digital textbook service in India.
