Start-up and Entrepreneurship is one of the eight strategic pillars of the ‘The Industrial and Business Development Policy 2017’ of Government of Punjab. For implementation of the same, Govt. of Punjab is supporting TiE Chandigarh in organizing sensitizing sessions for promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship in the state. These will be called ‘Start-up Yatra-Road to TiECON Chandigarh 2018’ events.    

The focus of these events is to explore the local success stories, with an objective to generate an entrepreneurial spark in the minds of the citizens, budding young entrepreneurs and students. Budding entrepreneurs would be apprised about initiatives and incentives being offered by Punjab Government for promotion of start-ups. Additionally, there would be informative and motivating sessions in which eminent speakers would share their experiences regarding various dimensions about starting and building a new innovation based enterprise.

The startup yatra’s first session is planned at Thapar University, Patiala on 25th January 2018  from 12:00 – 1:30 pm (followed by Lunch)
