ScaleUp Confidential is an intimate gathering where both current and past companies of ScaleUp can ask their deepest and most candid questions to an individual who has "earned their stripes" in growing a company. You have been asking to learn more tactics to market, sell and price your products and services - and we have listened. We are honored to host G20's own Mike Troiano for our next ScaleUp Confidential on April 10th at One Broadway!

Mike is a venture capitalist who brings nearly 25 years of executive leadership and marketing experience to bear for entrepreneurs. He most recently served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Actifio, a global enterprise data-as-a-service provider he helped turn from an obscure virtualization technology into a venture capital "unicorn" valued at over $1.2 Billion. As CMO from 2012 to 2017, Mike helped grow revenue over 80% per year, creating the Copy Data Virtualization category while expanding the business into blue chip accounts across 37 countries.

He spent his early career at top worldwide ad agencies including McCann-Erickson and FCB, and was named the founding CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Interactive in 1995. He later served as the president of NASDAQ-listed systems integrator Primix, and as General Manager of mobile content pioneer m-Qube from inception through one of the largest Boston-based venture capital exits of 2006.

Mike is a graduate of Cornell and Harvard Business School, a TechStars mentor, a Board Member of the New England Venture Capital Association, and a strategic advisor to Actifio. He is ranked in the top 1% of the most influential people on Twitter and among the most popular writers on venture capital and entrepreneurship on Medium, and hosts the popular Boston startup community podcast How Hard Can It Be?

Dinner will be served at 6pm and then Mike will take the "stage" at 6:30pm. This is your opportunity to get to know Mike (you will love him), ask your questions on marketing, sales, bootstrapping and scale and to also learn about his experience (or how to get into the G20 Family!). He is going to open with some slides (because you have responded in surveys that slides are helpful) but you can ask questions at anytime. The conversation is driven by you. Any question you have is a question we want to hear! Expect the evening to conclude by 8:30pm.

You are peers in this space and no one is perfect. Expect laughter as we celebrate the trials and triumphs of marketing a growing startup!

Space is limited so once at capacity, a wait list will be created.

Please note that there is a special pop-up session for ScaleUp Companies (current and alumni) from 4:30-5:30pm that will take place in the same location. Katz, Nannis & Solomon will lead a workshop where they talk about the new changes to the tax law and how it will impact financing, investment and equity.
