His research interests span in the field of computational photography, inverse problems in imaging and human-computer interaction. Recent projects and inventions include transient imaging to look around a corner, a next generation CAT-Scan machine, imperceptible markers for motion capture (Prakash), long distance barcodes (Bokode), touch+hover 3D interaction displays (BiDi screen), low-cost eye care devices (Netra,Catra), new theoretical models to augment light fields (ALF) to represent wave phenomena and algebraic rank constraints for 3D displays (HR3D).
Raskar received various accolades including the Global Indus Technovator Award at MIT in 2003, the TR100 Award from Technology Review in 2004 Sloan Research Fellowship in 2009, Marr Prize in 2009, Darpa Young Faculty award in 2010, the Lemelson-MIT Prize in 2016 and many more, to his credit. He holds over 80 US patents and has received four Mitsubishi Electric Invention Awards. He is currently co-authoring a book on Computational Photography.

Over the course of his career he has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and given over 100 invited lectures nationally and internationally. He has been highly sought after for his views on the future of digital health, having spoken at CES, Webit, Exponential Medicine and for venture groups on behalf of Frost & Sullivan, at the Harvard Club, and in other venues. Over the course of his tenure at Mayo he has filed over 30 patents resulting in start-up companies related to non-invasive carbon beam ablation and licensing deals related to artificial intelligence algorithms. In addition, he has been invited to serve as a strategic advisor both for his clinical expertise with companies such as Boston Scientific and Abbott as well as his digital and business expertise with companies such as Myant (a wearable sensor company), BioSig (a signal processing company for whom he helped develop the data science infrastructure), and TripleBlind (a data encryption company focused on financial AI algorithms). Academically, Dr. Kapa’s areas of expertise relate to complex ablation, particularly for ventricular tachycardia, and he has been considered one of the world’s leading experts in new technology in this arena, having developed novel algorithms that have recently achieved regulatory approval. He is a well-recognized expert in cardiology, serving on journal editorial boards and also as a vice-chair, author, or reviewer on several scientific consensus statements. In addition, his work on digital tools to address the COVID-19 pandemic has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Stat, and on CNBC. Currently, he also serves as the lead for innovation related to virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) reality. In that capacity, he has led collaborative engagement with several companies, academic centers, and is helping lead development of new technologies. During the nearly 2 years he has served in this capacity, he has developed a VR innovation space at Mayo Clinic, led the development of an enterprise-wide working consortium to leverage shared interests and draft a white paper, and started several research protocols.

Golan has been a contributing member to the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR), and has also recently started a customer focused Security Operations Practice launched to coincide with a New York Times article, entitled, “An Attack the World Isn’t Ready for.” As CEO of I/O Security Golan been working together with Government, and Private Industry on a Global Basis to address severe challenges in Security, Compliance, Training and Process Development. Recently, Golan founded the Comprehensive Day Habilitation Center is Crown Heights focused on recovery of COVID-19 patients, and has worked closely with researchers at the National Institutes of Health to improve viral testing nationally.

In this role, Dr. Whyte leads efforts to develop and expand strategic partnerships that create meaningful change around important and timely public health issues. Prior to WebMD, Dr. Whyte served as the Director of Professional Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement at the Center for Drugs Evaluation and Research at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Whyte worked with health care professionals, patients, and patient advocates, providing them with a focal point for advocacy, enhanced two-way communication, and collaboration, assisting them in navigating the FDA on issues concerning drug development, review, and drug safety. He also developed numerous initiatives to address diversity in clinical trials.
Prior to this, Dr. Whyte worked for nearly a decade as the Chief Medical Expert and Vice President, Health and Medical Education at Discovery Channel, the leading non-fiction television network. In this role, Dr. Whyte developed, designed and delivered educational programming that appealed to both a medical and lay audience. Prior to National Grid, Ms. Lambert was a Managing Partner at The Westly Group, a clean technology private venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley, where she was responsible for investments in software, internet of things, and energy technology companies. She closed several direct equity investments in companies such as Cognitive Scale and Paxata and sourced and/or closed key strategic LP investments. Prior to The Westly Group, she worked at Intel Corporation for 19 years and was Vice President and Managing Director of Intel Capital’s Software and Services Fund and the Founder and Managing Director of the $125 million Intel Capital Diversity Fund.
During Ms. Lambert’s tenure at Intel Capital, she led investments, incubations, commercial agreements, strategies, and innovation projects for Intel. She also managed an apprenticeship program designed to train high potential professionals in innovation and investment disciplines.
Ms. Lambert led global investments in over 100 companies over her career at Intel Capital such as VMware (IPO), MySQL (acquired by SUN), Endeca (acquired by Oracle), JBoss (acquired by RedHat), Nexmo (acquired by Vonage), and managed a large organization of investment professionals. Ms. Lambert produced top decile returns, including seven IPOs and over 35 M&A exits and delivered operating returns through commercial agreements with strategic partners. Ms. Lambert has been a director on the board of several portfolio companies including most recently X+1 (acquired by Rocket Fuel), Silkroad Technology (on-going), and Brit+Co (on-going) for the Intel Capital Diversity Fund. She is also on the board of directors for the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) and is co-chair of the NVCA Venture Forward initiative.
Ms. Lambert began her career at Owens-Corning as a software developer, and also worked in sales, strategy, and business development roles. Ms. Lambert is the founder/CEO, and chairman of UPWARD, a global network of executive women. UPWARD is a non-profit organization with 18 chapters, over 60 corporate sponsors, and nearly 5000 members worldwide.
