‘Can you please help me raise capital for my startup?’ is perhaps the most frequently asked question by new members of TiE Melbourne, and indeed early stage entrepreneurs.

Typically at this point, the startup comprises enthusiastic founders (plural is better than one - always!), an innovative idea, and not much more.
