Open Mic Nights allow entrepreneurs to network with angel investors, venture capitalists, startup-focused service-based providers, mentors, and a large community of other successful entrepreneurs. The event takes place on the second Tuesday of every month.

Pallavi Gogoi is the Chief Business Editor of NPR, where she is in charge of setting the network’s news agenda and mapping out daily coverage of the biggest business, economics, tech and media stories each day.

She is an award-winning newsroom leader, with 25 years of experience as an editor and writer at top U.S. organizations, including CNN, Business Week, The Associated Press, USA Today & Dow Jones.

Gogoi is a mission-driven journalist who wants to bring a deeper understanding of business and economics and showcase the power they have to shape the everyday lives of people and change the course of history. Her style of journalism is based on sharp inquiry, deep thinking and connecting the dots of global events – all in the service of creating a more informed public that is challenged and invigorated by a deeper understanding and appreciation of events and ideas.

To pitch at this event, you don’t have to be a TiE member, you just need to be an entrepreneur or an aspiring entrepreneur with a passion to share your idea that may change our world. You will be given a safe entrepreneurial friendly virtual space to deliver an elevator pitch for 2 minutes in presence of a group of mentors, angel investors, venture capitalists, startup-focused service providers, and a very supportive community of successful entrepreneurs.
