About Praveer Kumar

Praveer Kumar is currently the President of Product, Technology, and Operations at Guardhat, a startup in the Industrial Internet of People (IIoP) space. Praveer is a technology leader with more than 20 years of experience who has consistently found that his greatest strengths lie in team leadership, innovation, product, operations, and software development. Prior to Guardhat, Praveer was the co-founder, board member, and Chief Product, Operations, and Technology officer at Finxera (formerly BancBox) for a dozen years. Finxera was a successful FinTech startup that built a Banking as A Service (BaaS) platform and monetized it in the payment processing for the debt settlement industry. Finxera was acquired by Priority Technology Holdings (PRTH) in September 2021 for $425M.

Praveer worked at Yahoo for a couple of years and was involved in the assimilation of Yahoo’s different ad serving platforms as well as ad latency council initiatives.

Praveer started his career in the Silicon Valley in 1999 after completing his dual MS in Structural Engineering and System Science as an entry level engineer at a company Digital Impact. Digital Impact went public and then was acquired by a publicly traded company called Acxiom. Over a span of 8 years, Praveer worked his way up to the technology leader before he left for Yahoo at the end of 2007. Praveer is an active investor in startups in Silicon Valley and India and is a product fellow at Fellows Fund. Praveer lives in Saratoga with his wife and two sons.
