The evening will kickoff with remarks by Ana Laura Vargas, Business Manager & Head of Operations for the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection, who will share some highlights of the firm's esteemed, global modern and contemporary collection. A prix fixe dinner will be served.

Thomas Kennedy 

Thomas Kennedy is the Chief Investment Strategist for Global Wealth Management at J.P. Morgan. In this role, he leads the development of Wealth Management’s global economic and investment views, while serving as the chair of the Global Investment Strategy Group. Mr. Kennedy advises high net worth clients on asset allocation within the context of their overall investment portfolios including tactical brokerage ideas and long term discretionary solutions. Previously, Mr. Kennedy worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for 8 years holding various research and policy positions. Most recently, he led a global macro strategy team, responsible for researching global financial markets and brief ing senior Federal Reserve officials in New York and Washington D.C. He also served as a speech writer for the portfolio manager of SOMA (System Open Market Account Holdings), regularly crafting his remarks on financial markets delivered at the start of every FOMC meeting. In addition to his investment strategy responsibilities, Mr. Kennedy is an Adjunct Professor of Economics and Finance at Long Island University in New York. Mr. Kennedy received an M.B.A. from American University’s Kogod School of Business and a B.A. from Lafayette College. He currently lives on Long Island with his wife and two sons. 

John Mathai 

John Mathai is a Vice Chairman and Senior Investor at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York. He is responsible for advising real estate principals, corporate executives, hedge funds principals, private equity principals, high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and families on their wealth. John has dedicated his entire 30 year career to the J.P. Morgan Private Bank advising clients on asset allocation and tactical investment ideas across broad asset classes around the world. John was previously the head of the investment desk working closely with a team of ten investment professionals, managing assets in excess of $10 billion. Currently, John advises and manages client assets for some of the largest entrepreneurs, investment professionals, and real estate principals in New York City. John received a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Finance from Rutgers University. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses. John and his wife reside in New Jersey with their daughter and son. 

Ana Laura Vargas 

Ana Laura Vargas is the Business Manager and Head of Operations of the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection, based in New York City. A member of the Art Program since summer 2019, Ana Laura’s primary responsibilities are to oversee and support functions including financial management, operations, analytics/metrics, controls and risk management. Prior to joining the Art Program, Ana Laura led a team in AWM operations serving the International Private Bank. She started her career at the World Bank in Washington D.C. Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, Ana Laura was a Banker Analyst at 7North Finance with 2.1B assets under management. She graduated with a B.A. in Global Affairs and Finance from George Mason University. She also obtained a certificate from New York University on Financial Management of the Arts. Ana Laura is native from Colombia and has lived in India, Italy & Spain. 

Ravilochan Pola

 Ravi Pola is an Executive Director and Banker in the New York City office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He works closely with individuals, wealthy families and institutional clients, serving as a powerful advocate and helping them create a lasting legacy. With over 25 years of experience in Capital Markets as an investment banker and in leadership roles at several firms, Ravi understands that managing substantial wealth poses complex challenges across the balance sheet and it is best served by a bespoke advisory relationship. He partners seamlessly alongside founders, promoters and other successful business leaders, facilitating direct access to the power of J.P. Morgan’s platform, including specialist resources and opportunistic investments.Knowledgeable and thoughtful, Ravi provides unbiased, objective advice backed by one of the most respected names in the industry. He leverages his robust network, connecting like-minded individuals to help them engage and ideate in new and complementary ways. Ravi is an influential member in the Asian American community and has received many awards and recognitions for his value-added contributions. In the past, he has been featured as a speaker at distinguished forums including NYSE, Bloomberg, MarHedge, TIE, the Wharton School, Duke University, Columbia Business School and the University of Chicago Business School. His previous experience includes working as an Investment Banker at Goldman–Kotak JV in Mumbai before moving to the United States in 2001 to become C.E.O. of JV’s North American subsidiary for over a decade. Leaving in 2012, Ravi led similar firms where he built and managed U.S. broker-dealer businesses for prominent overseas banks. Most recently, he was Executive Director, Investments, with Oppenheimer & Co. Private Wealth Advisory Group. Ravi has an M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School, New York. He is also a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Law from India. Ravi is an avid tennis player and an occasional golf player.
