This month’s TiE Institute will continue on the theme of innovation in the time of crisis. The focus for May will be on factors and considerations in pivoting or creating new business in a time of so much change. Host Michael Lachapelle will look at some of the key elements of innovation peculiar to the pandemic world we live in mindset for transition; identifying needs/markets and creating value; adapting capabilities and barriers such as regulations, and the challenges of having the cash to transform. His guest will include Hamed Zadeh (Ottawa Printing services and many other ventures), Hanan Anis (the University of Ottawa, Makerspace, professor, coordinator of entrepreneurship and innovation in the Faculty of Engineering), and Dane Bedward (investor, advisor, chief executive, long-time TIE member)  Join us for this discussion on finding new ways to create value and drive business when the world around us is in upheaval. Meet our Speaker

Michael Lachapelle

Michael has more than 20 years of experience in business design, enterprise business analysis, strategic management, and business, product, and service innovation. An independent consultant, Michael works with senior executives and managers, helping them better align, communicate, and change the way they do business. His clients range from established multi-national organizations and businesses to small enterprises and early-stage startups. He coaches individuals and small teams, helps organizations implement business design methods, and facilitates product, service, and business innovation initiatives. Michael is a member of the core development team for Mobius Outcome Delivery and is a Strategyzer certified Business Model Canvas coach and consultant.
