About Hong Kong Blockchain Society
Hong Kong Blockchain Society (HKBCS) was incorporated in 2016. It aims to build a vibrant blockchain community and ecosystem in Hong Kong. Despite still at an early stage, Blockchain will become one of the key components of the financial technology (FinTech), that will potentially disrupt almost all aspects of the finance industry. Hong Kong Blockchain Society will direct its effort to work with the Hong Kong Government, industry practitioners and academics to help establish blockchain standards for Hong Kong that are compliant and help create a policy friendly environment for the blockchain industry in Hong Kong.
About The White Paper Release
The Chairman of HKBCS, Mr. Thomas Cheung, MH, will preside over the White Paper Release. The purpose of this White Paper is to introduce to Hong Kong people blockchain technology, a technology that may not be well known among Hong Kong public because it is still at an early stage. It will also describe the potential impact that blockchain will bring to the economics and society of Hong Kong in the future. Contributors to the Whitepaper include: the Chairman of HKBCS, Mr. Thomas CHEUNG MH, the Principal Liaison Officer for Hong Kong of the Shenzhen Qianhai Authority, Dr. Witman HUNG, JP, the CEO of Starthub Holding Ltd., Mr. Emil CHAN, the CEO of Photon Link Ltd., Mr. Paul FUNG and the founder of CamClaim, Ms. Joey LAM.
