Research evidence shows that selecting the opportunity that is the 'Right Fit' for the Founder and the Founding Team is a critical, but often overlooked consideration that determines the viability and growth of a new venture and the satisfaction of the Founders. While there are plenty of opportunities for founders to consider, the more important question is this : Which opportunity is right for YOU? 

This interactive workshop led by Dr. Suresh Kumar, Professor of Practice and Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programs, New Jersey Institute of Technology, will explore the key metrics to evaluate BEFORE you get started on your startup journey. We will also discuss possible actions that founders who have already launched can take to ensure a better fit between the founding team and the opportunity.

Dr. Suresh Kumar

Dr. Suresh Kumar is a Serial Entrepreneur; Professor; Angel Investor, and Builder of Inclusive Innovation & Economic Ecosystems.

A Deloitte Fast 50 and 5-time INC 500/5000 ranked serial entrepreneur, Suresh is one of the handful of INC 500 ranked founders with hands-on experience with academics, research, policy, and building sustainable startups ecosystems. He completed his doctoral degree in 2011, with a breakthrough study on high-growth Indian-American immigrant technology entrepreneurs, which played an important part in the formulation of the Startup Visa legislation. He was a member of the Biden-Harris 2020 campaign sub-committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Currently, Suresh serves on the Board of Directors of multiple Startups and also as Professor of Practice and Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programs at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Suresh Is also a TiE Charter Member and serves on the TiE New Jersey Board of Directors.
