Hiring is the single biggest challenge for startups. In a startup, almost every role is crucial since there are no fall-back mechanisms or back-ups. While In large firms, the cost of a single hire could be a few years salary, in a startup, it could very well decide whether the startup gets to the next stage of growth seamlessly or falters irretrievably.

TiE Bangalore is a community of entrepreneurs who help and are deeply involved in the growth and success of all its members, as a whole.

TiE Founders Forum is a support group for growing entrepreneurs, capturing the spirit of collaboration and mutual help. A “for entrepreneur, by entrepreneur initiative”, Founders Forum monthly meetings discuss everyday problems relating to starting a business and scaling up. Through a curated group of growth stage entrepreneurs, we aim to address problems, both minor and major, by leveraging each other’s network and know-how.

Each month, the forum discusses a new topic based on popular choice of the forum members and guests are invited to share their knowledge and experience on the topic.

This Founders Forum Meeting will discuss How startups hire.

  • Diversity is not a buzzword, it’s a business imperative
  • An inclusive culture cannot be retrofitted – it is important to address diversity early in your company’s lifecycle
  • A diverse workforce makes it easier to hire and retain top talent; it also fosters innovation
