The energy sector has begun 2020 with a state of heightened volatility. The global spread of the Covid-19 virus has created both supply and demand shocks to the global economy, with an accompanying shock to the oil & gas markets. Hear from our panel of leaders from the energy sector discuss the state of energy macroeconomics in 2020 and the technology/innovation challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Our guest speaker is Imran Kizilbash. He is currently a Managing Director at CSL Capital Management. He joined CSL in 2018.

In addition he was responsible for investing and managing Schlumberger’s venture investment portfolio of ~ $100m with approximately 20 investments. Prior to this role he was Vice President and Treasurer for Schlumberger Limited based in Houston, and has held senior management positions such as Schlumberger Limited Financial Controller, President Reservoir Characterization Group, President of Middle East & Asia and President of Drilling and Measurements.

Mr. Kizilbash joined Schlumberger as a Wireline and Testing Field Engineer in 1989 and has held numerous operations, management, financial, marketing and human resource positions for the company in the United States, Europe, Middle East and Far East. Mr. Kizilbash has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Applied Sciences and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both degrees from the California Institute of Technology.
