Hossam Elbadawy in conversation with Dr. Ram G Shenoy

The energy sector has begun 2020 with a state of heightened volatility.   The global spread of the Covid-19 virus has created both supply and demand shocks to the global economy, with an accompanying shock to the oil & gas markets. We are going to be hosting a series of webinars on the Energy sector.Hear from our panel of leaders from the energy sector discuss the state of energy macroeconomics in 2020 and the technology/innovation challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs.   Our first discussion will take place on April 16th at 2 PM.

Our first speaker is Hossam ElBadawy. He is the Managing Director of SCF Ventures and Technology Partner at SCF Partners. Before joining SCF, Hossam founded O&G Technologies, a Houston based incubator focused on the oil and gas industry. He has over 27 years’ experience in the energy sector, technology development, and commercialization. Hossam has served as Senior Operating Partner at Lime Rock Partners and as CEO of Tercel Oilfield Products. Before these roles, Hossam spent nearly 17 years at Schlumberger, where he served as Vice President of Manufacturing as well as managed the company’s leading-edge Rosharon Technology Center and the Houston Product Center. Hossam received an MBA and a Masters in Engineering Management from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ain Shams University.

The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Ram G Shenoy. Ram is a co-founder of several companies based on different technology areas.  He retired after a career in upstream oil & gas, holding a variety of roles around technology development, management and marketing.   He previously was Chief Technology Officer of ConocoPhillips, a large upstream oil & gas operator, and Vice-President of Research for Schlumberger, a large oilfield services company.
