Digital Gaming In India: A Billion-Dollar Market

The Indian digital gaming industry is growing rapidly. One of the top five countries for mobile gaming in the world, the industry is already worth over $890 million. Riding an upward curve, we have virtually two startups coming up every month. Estimates suggest that India's mobile games market will be worth $1.1 billion by 2020, and number of users projected to become 628 million by then. 

The rise can be attributed to the increased smartphone adoption, accessibility, and affordability of networks. Increasing frictionless payments and cheap data and increase in disposable income. Obviously a larger appetite means more money moving through the industry. More investor interest and therefore more time and tech being spared. Parallel to this comes advertiser interest.  And, it's all adding up to a fast-growing business.
