"Legacy" is a powerful term and desire. When business owners first start out, they have one of two goals in mind: either they want to grow their firm so that they can sell it and exit successfully, or they want to leave a lasting legacy for future generations. 

It's a significant factor to take into account and represents a totally different method of doing business. It challenges you, as a creator or member of a founding team, to go beyond current fads and trends and contemplate how your product or service will remain relevant and influential over time, which will ultimately aid in gaining market leadership. Building a company with a long-term impact is fundamentally different from other types of buildings.
