BLOCKCHAIN:  Realizing the Potential!! 

TiE New Jersey, in partnership with IIM Ahmedabad Alumni Association, USA, this is the second session of 2-session series on blockchain. 

This session will have panelists who are exploiting blockchain commercially.

Session Lead:

Rajesh Makhija, Founding Partner, 92angels

Rajesh is the founding Partner of 92angels, an angel investment company nurturing startups focused on human aspects of technology; specifically education, food, water, healthcare, communication and energy. Previously, until May 2018, Rajesh was the CEO of Mphasis Wyde and Eldorado. Rajesh led a quick pace complete turnaround of both Eldorado & Wyde during his 4 years’ tenure. In recognition, in June 2017, Rajesh was awarded the Gold Stevie Award for "Executive of the Year" at American Business Awards. His experience spreads across Healthcare & Life Sciences, Telecom, Retail & Logistics, and Manufacturing & Hi-Tech. An experienced presenter, Rajesh has been a guest lecturer at multiple universities in U.S. & India. He is often called upon to share his insight in cross-industry forums on next-generation technologies affecting business processes and the state of global outsourcing industry.   Academically, he holds an Engineering degree in Electronics and a PGDM (MBA) from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. He is also a Alumni of Wharton, Univ of Pennsylvania.

Sally Liang – Chief Strategy Officer, Tallyx Inc.

Sally Liang is Chief Strategy Officer at Tallyx Inc where she heads strategy, business development, finance and operation. Tallyx is building a blockchain based platform for supply chain finance. Sally has extensive experience in Trade Finance, FX Trading, Entrepreneurship, AI and Consumer Banking.

Prior to Tallyx, Sally was formerly Project Manager at Personetics where she put AI powered financial solution in leading consumer banks which is now used by more than 20M+ consumers. She was the President of NewFinance NY, a global FinTech business network with more than 20,000 members globally. Sally plays an active role in embracing the FinTech ecosystem in NY where she hosts events in Blockchain and AI as well as running Shark Tank style events to connect entrepreneurs with investors.

Sally holds an MBA degree from New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.



Sundeep Kumar, CFA – Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Risk Technology, LiquidFSI.

Sundeep is a seasoned Technologist and a strategic Executive, with immense experience in Capital Markets and complex Trading and Risk system design. Sundeep is a software engineer and an expert in Machine Learning, Blockchain, and Big Data Analytics.

Prior to joining LiquidFSI as COO and Head of Risk, Sundeep has over 20 years of Financial Sector Experience, having worked at J.P. Morgan Chase as an Executive Director of Wholesale Credit Risk, Citi Group in Global Risk, Bank of America in Market Risk, RBC Capital Markets, Bloomberg, LP, and Goldman Sachs. Sundeep graduated with a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, M.S. in Computer science from NYU Tandon (Polytechnic University), and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. Sundeep is also a CFA Charterholder.
