Impact investing was once viewed as a niche area involving a trade-off between value and “values”. This is no longer the case. Impact investing is now going mainstream. The impact investing market has been offering diverse and viable opportunities for investors to advance social and environmental solutions through investments that also produce financial returns.

Socio-economic challenges posed by COVID-19, the economic slowdown, enhanced awareness towards health, hygiene, wellness and immunity, concerns towards food security, cleaner environment, and financial well-being have created an opportunity for startups to ideate and come up with fitting solutions. On the other hand, the investors have new avenues to invest in and support these fresh ideas.

The concept of impact investing has not gained popularity in investor communities like Rajasthan. However, grounded business intelligence, traditional inclination towards social good and growing interest into startup investments, makes it the right combination to introduce the concept of Impact Investing to startup investors.
