Join TiE London on Thursday 9th July for a special one-to-one interview with Surinder Arora. This is a unique opportunity to hear from one of the UK’s leading entrepreneurs during which he will discuss his experiences in business and his views on weathering the Covid-19 crisis. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end of the session. Registration for this event is essential.
The session will be introduced by TiE London President, Nina Amin and the interview will be conducted by Dinesh Dhamija, a successful entrepreneur, philanthropist and a politician.

Surinder Arora
Surinder Arora is the Founder and Chairman of the Arora Group. Having arrived in the UK as a teenager from India, Surinder founded the business in 1999, running a luxurious four-star hotel at Heathrow for airline staff. From there, he built a business based on strong principles of enterprise, including the purchase of the Renaissance London Heathrow hotel in 2012, where he had worked as a waiter in the 1970s.
Today, the Arora Group is a successful private group of UK-focused companies, with specialist property, construction and hotel development and management divisions. The Group owns and manages a diverse portfolio of assets across Britain’s key business locations, with a particular presence in airport regions. Surinder and his wife Sunita are also co-founders of the Arora Charitable Foundation, supporting social responsibility initiatives in the UK and overseas.
Dinesh Dhamija
Dinesh Dhamija is the founder, former Chairman and CEO, of ebookers.com, one of Europe’s most successful internet travel companies.Educated at Kings School, Canterbury and Fitzwilliam College Cambridge, he worked in various companies including IBM. He is also an alumni of IMD in Lausanne and Harvard Business School.In 2003, Dinesh was chosen, Entrepreneur of the year (UK), by Management Today magazine. 2004 awarded Asian Man of the Year.
He is a trustee of TiE Global, founder of Shiksha, a charity that educates 1100 pupils, founder of Chikitsa, a charity that gives free medicine to 120,000 people a year.
Dinesh was elected as a Liberal Democrat MEP in 2019, having served as the Deputy Treasurer of the Liberal Democratic party. He is also a member of the fundraising committee of Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.
