An Evening in METAVERSE  Sunday, Jan 29, 2023 | 4:00 PM - 6:30PM

VR/AR/MR (Virtual, Augment and Mixed Reality) also referred to as XR, and the ability to leverage the Metaverse in VR is being rapidly adopted by progressive enterprises for their simulation and learning/training needs. The business case for the use cases which are emerging are very encouraging.  

As a follow-up to our event - Unlocking the magic of The Metaverse, on OCTOBER 26, 2022, we have planned a hands-on workshop on the applications of Metaverse and AR/MR for Charter Members at one of our Member Companies', DigiDrub, who are specializing in this field, and other digital work; they were also recently signed-up for disruptive projects by Google-backed strategic ventures/companies.  

Participants will also learn about the popular devices and experience use cases in the Metaverse, WebGL, as well as the future of websites using Metaverse technologies (Web 2.0). 

Who should apply for this visit? 

Business/Strategy/Learning-Development leaders of mid-large companies  **At the request of DigiDrub, attendance is very limited in order for the workshop to be meaningful. Charter Member candidates for whom this opportunity has the greatest business relevance will be selected (Not for those with a general interest in the area). Depending upon interest, additional sessions may be held to accommodate others.  

Agenda:

1. Introduction to popular AR and VR devices (e.g. Quest 2, Meta Pro, HoloLens 2, Tethered AR, and Mobile AR); learn how the Metaverse works and the practitioner’s view for 2023

2. An overview: Use cases in healthcare, technology, and manufacturing/engineering industries. Areas will include Employee onboarding, Corporate learning modules, Surgical simulations, Manufacturing modules etc. 

3. Demos   - Metaverse experiences  - AR demonstrations, usage of 360 videos - Mobile AR

4. Avatar creation using cloud computing

5. Q&A sessions
