In this webinar, we will discuss entrepreneurship development in Tier 2 and Tier 3 districts of India (“Middle India” where 800 million people reside) by inspiring youth to incubate their businesses and social enterprises. For the past 13 years, we (Jagriti Sewa Sansthan) have been arranging a pan-India train ride for 500+ entrepreneurs for 15 days, where we enable the participants (yatris) to network, teach them the principles of entrepreneurship, visit role models in Middle India, and encourage them to create their own enterprises. 28% of the 6200 alumni have become entrepreneurs.

Post-Covid, we have transformed this journey to a virtual format with the Jagriti Digital Yatra (December 24, 2021 – January 8, 2022), and this year we are targeting 2000 yatris from across India. This is a monumental undertaking, and our TiE Houston Charter Member Sunil Pangarkar has taken a lead role in this endeavor. We are aiming to raise funds and build awareness, there will be opportunities for mentoring as well for those interested in doing so. Any funds donated will accrue to a scholarship fund that enables rural and need-based applicants to participate in JDY.
