In this informal meet, we will look into the current state of automation, discuss the roles of AI and Machine and Deep Learning, and explore the future that holds as a result. 

A discussion lead by Charter Member Praveen Misra, Co-Founder and Director of Data Science of BI Partners, we will be discussing the revolutionary impact of Artificial Intelligence and Machine/Deep Learning before hearing from Dr. Subrata Das, Founder and Chief Scientist of Machine Analytics, who will be sharing their personal experience in this space. 

No technical background is necessary as the discussion will be kept at a high level.

Praveen Misra

Praveen is an innovative, dynamic, and highly experienced IT executive & Strategist who provides leadership in strategic technology plan for Advanced Data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and data visualization. He is the Co-Founder of AI/ML start up, BI Partners. 

Dr. Subrata Das

Dr. Subrata Das, is the Founder and Chief Scientist at Machine Analytics, Inc., a technology consultant at MIT Lincoln Lab, a consulting Chief Data Scientist at Alphaserve Technologies in NY, and an adjunct faculty at Northeastern. A well-known expert in the fields of data fusion, computational intelligence, and business analytics, Subrata is the author of multiple books, including Computational Business Analytics, published by CRC Press/Chapman. Subrata has also co-authored the book entitled Safe and Sound: Artificial Intelligence in Hazardous Applications, published by the MIT Press (Nobel laureate Herbert Simon wrote the foreword of the book).

He received his PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Databases from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, a Master's in Mathematics from the University of Kolkata, and an M.Tech from the Indian Statistical Institute.
